Plumb Limited (formerly Bob Laybourn Consulting Engineers), is a structural engineering practice that has been in operation since 1991, and located in Wellington New Zealand.
Currently with over 28 years experience in the construction industry, our mission is to provide our clients with the best possible structural engineering services.
Our clients in the past have said, ‘you listened to what we said and delivered a solution that worked’. Along with high quality documentation we bring a high level of communication to all our projects ensuring that there are no surprises.

Principal Engineer
Bahjat Harach – Director
BE (Civil), MBA, CPEng IntPE, CMEngNZ
Bahjat has a Bachelor of Engineering from Canterbury University, and has worked as a structural engineer since 1994. He also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Victoria University in Wellington.
The majority of his experience has been gained in Wellington, working for small, medium and large engineering consultancies.
Bahjat has worked on a wide range of residential, industrial and commercial projects, ranging from house alterations to multi-storey buildings.
Bahjat has been the Director of Plumb Consulting Engineers since 2013.
